Segall also hosts iHeart’s video podcast, Mostly Human, an intimate weekly interview show featuring immersive, in-depth conversations about the future, aimed at leaving listeners with a sense of agency over fear.
A former CNN senior technology correspondent and reporter for 60 Minutes, Segall spent more than a decade documenting the rise of the technology companies that reshaped modern life. She has interviewed many of the world’s most influential technology leaders, including Sam Altman, Mark Zuckerberg, Tim Cook, and Jack Dorsey, offering rare behind-the-scenes access to the people building the platforms that shape our world.
Segall is the author of Special Characters: My Adventures with Tech’s Titans and Misfits and the recipient of multiple Gracie Awards for her work championing women, including her series Revenge Porn: The War on Women. She has also pioneered storytelling around the rise of AI companionship and deepfakes, recently receiving a Webby Award for her viral investigation “My Deepfake Relationship with Mark Zuckerberg,” an early look at the power of synthetic media, and misinformation.
Through Mostly Human, Segall is building a new structure for storytelling in the AI era, a collaborative network of creators, journalists, and cultural voices exploring how artificial intelligence and emerging technologies are transforming relationships, identity, truth, and the future of society.
Segall’s work is aimed at bridging technology and humanity, helping people better understand the systems that shape their lives and giving audiences the knowledge and agency to benefit from rapid advances in technology.
